2022 Edition
This year, I wanted to get better at colour combinations while practicing motion animations. I've challenged myself to use the colours that have the letter of the day in them while using Helvetica and breaking it apart as if it was written with 1 line. All of these pieces are prepared in Illustrator and then animated in After Effects using paths.
This challenge has sharpened my skills in quickly animating typography while concepting them at the same time. I learned how to position the anchor points properly and overall, improved my muscle memory. I also found out about multiple colour combinations that trigger heavy colour contrast, making the letters really pop out. Another lesson I got out of this is time management, and how I only spent 1 hour on each letter a day.
